Junior Academy 

About

Clutch Coaching junior academy group sessions begin again this February. These sessions are designed to supplement existing team trainings these cricketers will be doing each week with their school or club, providing additional preparation each week for their Saturday cricket matches.

You can expect 7 enjoyable sessions spread over term 1, covering both the technical basis of batting and bowling, while learning how to apply these skills in the nets against real bowlers.

We aim to provide at least 1 coach per lane being used - with a ratio of 5-7 cricketers to each coach.​

Suitability

These programmes are designed for hard ball cricketers year 5 -year 8 (9-13 years of age). If you child is year 4 and is ready to train with hard ball cricketers they can be considered for the programme. At each session mini groups will be formed based on ability to ensure all cricketers are training at a level suitable for them.​

Week 1: Fielding intelligence & dust off the cobwebs

Week 2: Front foot technique (batting)

Week 3: Bowling to top order batters (bowling)

Week 4: Back foot technique (batting)

Week 5: Bowling defensively (bowling)

Week 6: Playing spin bowling (batting)

Week 7: Game scenario training
